A big thank-you to all who joined us and helped during the fun day last Saturday. We raised £380.00 for Udobo School in South Africa and North Herts Sanctuary in Hitchin. 

There was alot of competition in regards to things to do on Saturday as it was also Letchworth's Food Fair and the weather was hot, hot hot!! 

Looking forward to next years event and hope everyone will be able to contribute in anyway they can, such as with items to sell, making cakes, the children's area with games and crafts and of course the ploughmans lunches!

Again, thank you as you have helped two great causes- the children's school and the homeless.

Hi everyone!

Good day everyone! I hope your summer time so far is filled with happy times!

I have updated some of the pages - especially the children's and young peoples page. There is lots of room for new stories, jokes, pictures and of course, comments are always welcome!

So, far this summer, not much has happened. I have seen the New Harry Potter movie and have pottered around the house and explored my new jobs, which I will tell you more about in September.

I would just like to thank everyone who came to the Fun Day and to those who helped make it possiable.

In the Community Centre we had the stalls for the ploughman's lunch tickets (which went fast!), raffle, name a bunny, brick-a-brack, cakes, Mabels cards, plants, books videos and children's toys. In the church we had the children's games run by Jr. Church and friends of the church and crafts run by Letchworth Third Rainbows Girl Guides. Children and young people could decorate a picture frame or a pin wheel, or play one of many games and win a prize such as; pick a lolly, roll a six, frog golf, don't buzz the wire. We also had PS2 games which changed every hour from Rocky (boxing), Need for Speed and Pro Evolution Soccer and was run by our Youth Group Engage. We also had face painting which saw the little ones change into a cats, butterflies, a dolphin (which was a challange!) and a garden!

It was great day and everyone had a wonderful time and the charities that will benifit from the £440.00 raised are the Keech Cottage Children's Hospice and the North Herts Branch of the MS Society.

It is wonderful when people can come together not only to have fun, but to help others in the process. This is what I belive Jesus meant by loving one another and look after my sheep. I belive that this is what was experianced on this day. God's love.
